On Thursday, Aug. 8, police were called to Byram Park on a report of a man urinating in the entrance parking lot who was driving a white Chevrolet truck, according to Greenwich Police. Officers were also called to Mead Avenue about a mile away from the park on a report of a motor vehicle accident where the offending vehicle left the scene, said police. Man Driving Without License Charged With DUI After Running Red Light In Greenwich, Police Say A man is facing DUI charges after driving without a license and running a red light in Greenwich, according to police. Greenwich Police say officers were patrolling the area of Mill Street and Mead Avenue when a driver ran a red light on Monday, July 8 around 1:30 a.m. The officers initiated a traffic stop and interviewed the driver, who identified himself as Alexander Lucero, police say. Police allegedly detected an alcoholic odor while interviewing the driver and asked him to participate in a series of field sobriety tests, which he did not pass. Stamford Motorist With Hazard Lights On For An Hour Under Influence, Greenwich PD Says A 20-year-old man was arrested for DUI and driving without a license after police received a report of a car running with its hazards lights on for more than an hour.  Greenwich Police arrested Nehemias Yac of Stamford after responding to Mead Avenue around 6:20 a.m. Wednesday, to check out the report. When they arrived on the scene, officers said they could smell alcohol coming from his breath and that he failed a series of field sobriety tests.
