Greenwich Police Nab Violent Kidnapper Who Fled From Westchester County, Cops Say Police in Fairfield County nabbed a violent kidnapper who fled from Westchester County after committing the alleged crime. The incident took place in Greenwich early Thursday, Sept. 21. According to Lt. Patrick Smyth, of the Greenwich Police, the department was notified by authorities in Westchester that police pursued a suspected wanted in a kidnapping and assault with a gun in Rye and had crossed state lines into the Town of Greenwich.  The suspect, identified as Daniel Patrick Twomey, age 39, of Lodi, New Jersey, was believed to be armed and dangerous, Smyth said. Man With Warrant Out Of Norwalk Charged In Greenwich A man with a warrant out of Norwalk has been charged in Greenwich, according to police. Greenwich officers allegedly observed a vehicle with New Jersey license plates parked on the street in the area of New Street and N. Water Street in Byram on Thursday, Feb. 21 around 11:30 a.m. An inquiry of the dealer license plate showed that it had been stolen from Lodi, New Jersey. Officers continued to monitor the vehicle but did not see an owner or operator approach, so a tow truck was contacted to remove the vehicle from the road, police said.
