Longtime Greenwich Police Detective Promoted To Sergeant A longtime Greenwich Police detective has been promoted to the rank of sergeant. On Thursday, Nov. 5, 2020, Chief James Heavey announced Det. Daniel Bucci has been appointed as sergeant. Bucci is a graduate of the University of Central Florida. He graduated in 2007 with a bachelor’s degree in psychology, said Greenwich Police Capt. Mark E. Zuccerella. He was hired as a Greenwich Police Officer in April, 2011 and promoted to the rank of detective in September of 2017. Pair Of Greenwich Police Officers Promoted Pair Of Greenwich Police Officers Promoted
Pair Of Greenwich Police Officers Promoted Two Greenwich police officers were recently promoted by Chief James Heavey during a special ceremony at police headquarters. Master Police Officer Gregory Parrillo was promoted to detective and Officer Fred Reisch was promoted to school resource officer. Heavey commented on both officer’s exceptional histories with the department and noted how important it is to have officers who are as dedicated both of the men. Also attending the ceremony were Capt. Robert Berry, captain of detectives, and fellow officers.

Greenwich Lieutenant Named Officer Of Month Greenwich Lieutenant Named Officer Of Month
Greenwich Lieutenant Named Officer Of Month Greenwich Police Lt. Eric Scorca was recognized Wednesday as the Greenwich Police Department’s Officer of the Month. Chief James Heavey recognized Scorca, a crisis negotiator, for successfully getting an armed suicidal man to put down his weapons and surrender to police during an incident last month.  In addition, Scorca’s leadership in this area was instrumental to the successful resolution of two other incidents where people with knives were threatening to do harm to themselves, the chief said.
