Two-Alarm Condo Fire Breaks Out In Danbury Two units of a four-story wood-frame condo complex in Fairfield County were deemed uninhabitable and a resident was burned after a swift-moving fire started in one of the units. The fire started around 10:45 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 24, in the area of Deer Hill Avenue and Wooster Street, in Danbury said James Gagliardo, of the Danbury Fire Department.  Arriving units were flagged down by neighbors in front of 130 Deer Hill Ave. directing them to a 4-story wood frame condo complex with smoke showing from the rear of the building, Gagliardo said. Gas-Fed Fire Kitchen Fire Displaces Fairfield County Family Firefighters were able to quickly extinguish a kitchen fire at a two-family residence in Fairfield County. The fire started around 6 p.m., Monday, Feb. 15, at the home located at 9 Cottage Street in Danbury. Fire and police units were immediately dispatched. Six Hospitalized Following Two-Vehicle I-84 Crash Six people were hospitalized following a two-vehicle crash on a stretch of I-84. Shed Destroyed By Fire In Frigid Weather In Danbury DANBURY, Conn. — Danbury firefighters quickly extinguished a fully involved blaze in a shed near a home on Jackson Drive on Friday afternoon, the department said in a statement.  A 911 call came in at about 12:50 p.m. Friday about the fire, said a statement from James Gagliardo, communications coordinator for the department. When firefighters arrived, they found the shed in flames but posing no threat to the nearby home at 12 Jackson Drive, Gagliardo said.
