Airman Who Grew Up In Fairfield County Killed In Crash A U.S. Airman from Bridgeport who died in a multiple-vehicle crash in Idaho will be remembered Sunday, July 1. Lawrence Manlapit III, 29, the son of Lawrence Manlapit, Jr. and Dorine Norko, who is a transportation specialist for the Bridgeport public schools, was killed June 16 in a multi-vehicle crash on I-84 outside of Boise, Idaho, said the Idaho State Police. Two other airmen and a truck driver were also killed in the crash, police said.
