Services Set For Greenwich Woman, 23, Killed In Horse-Riding Accident
Funeral services have been announced for the 23-year-old Fairfield County resident and Long Island high school graduate who was killed in a horse-riding accident in the Hudson Valley. Samantha Calzone was killed around 10:45 a.m., Monday, Sept. 16, at a Dutchess County family farm on Byrds Hill Road in Dover Plains, when a horse reared and fell on top of her, according to the New York State Police. Greenwich Woman Killed In Accident At Farm Remembered For Love Of Animals
A 23-year-old Fairfield County resident who was killed in a horse riding accident was known throughout the area for her love for animals and her dedication to creating a career in equine rehabilitation. East Islip High School graduate Samantha Calzone, 23, of Greenwich, was killed Monday, Sept. 16, after falling off a horse at a family farm in Dover Plains on Byrds Hill Road, said the New York State Police.
