Danbury Woman, Brewster Man Accused Of Stealing $1.8K In Items From Lowe's A man and a woman have been arrested for allegedly stealing more than $1,800 in merchandise from an area Lowe's store. Peter Vetere, 47, of Brewster, and Carrie Walencik, of Danbury, Connecticut, were arrested by Yorktown Police on Friday, April 10, after receiving a theft complaint from the Lowe's in Yorktown, said Yorktown Police. According to police, store managers contacted the department on Thursday, April 9 to report that Vetere and Walencik had alleged stolen merchandise and left the store.  The next day, Friday, police were notified that the duo was back in the store.
