Here's How Many Motorists Were Charged With DUI By CT State Police Over Memorial Day Weekend Connecticut State Police troopers were busy over Memorial Day Weekend, responding to thousands of calls and dishing out hundreds of tickets for various violations on area roadways. During the holiday enforcement period, which started at 12:01 a.m. on Friday, May 24, and lasted through 11:59 p.m. on Monday, May 27, troopers responded to 7,540 calls for service and arrested 20 motorists for alleged impaired driving. Man, 55, Charged After Leaving Scene of Crash, Police Say A motorist from Fairfield County who attempted to flee following a hit-and-run crash in Connecticut was tracked down by police with the help of some eagle-eyed witnesses. Officers from the Milford Police Department received a report of a crash near the intersection of Bridgeport Avenue and Ormond Street during the evening commute on Thursday, Sept. 28 involving two drivers, one of which fled the area.
