Suspect Nabbed Within Minutes After Norwalk Bank Robbery, Police Say A suspect was caught within minutes after allegedly robbing a bank in Fairfield County. The incident took place in Norwalk on Thursday, March 9 at the First County Bank located at 700 Connecticut Ave. Officers responded to the bank after receiving an emergency report that they had just been robbed by a man wearing a mask and a hat, said Lt, Joe Dinho, of the Norwalk Police. Bank staff reported that the suspect fled on foot with cash from the bank, and they provided a detailed description of the suspect which was immediately given to the responding patrol units, Dinho said. …

Stamford Bank Robber Nabbed Within Hours, Police Say Police have nabbed a suspect who allegedly held up a Fairfield County bank on St. Patrick's Day. The robbery took place around 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 17, at the First County Bank, on High Ridge Road, in Stamford, said Stamford Police Capt. Richard Conklin. During the robbery, a man described as being in his 20s, wearing a knit cap, large sunglasses, and a dark hooded sweatshirt, walked into the bank and passed a note to the teller demanding money, Conklin said. Crash Involving Reckless Driver Sends Five To Stamford Hospital A Stamford man was charged with causing an accident that sent five people to the hospital, according to the Stamford Police. The crash occurred around 7 p.m. Sunday when Kadeem Sadio, 28, was speeding southbound on Hope Street when he slammed into a vehicle pulling out of Donut Delight, said Sgt. Kenneth Jarrett. Jarrett said the impact of the crash was so intense it spun the second car across Hope Street and into the First County Bank property, shearing the driver’s seat off of the floorboards.
