Stamford 3-Year-Old Toddler Survives Five-Story Fall A Stamford toddler amazingly survived a five-story fall from a downtown apartment window by landing in a pile of mulch, according to the Stamford Police Department. The incident happened around 1:10 p.m. Tuesday when the 3-year-old girl fell from the window at the Fairfield Apartments on Morgan Street, said Sgt. Brian Butler.  When police arrived on scene they found the little girl had been playing by the window in a second-story apartment while being watched by her partially-blind grandmother, Butler said.
