Man Driving Drunk Charged With Leaving Scene Of Crash In Area An out-of-state man was charged with alleged DUI and other charges after hitting another vehicle in the area and leaving the scene of the crash. Stephen Demo, 55, of South Portland, Maine, was arrested on Saturday, Nov. 31, after Milford Police responded to a report of a two-vehicle crash on Welchs Point Road and Milesfield Avenue, and allegedly left the scene, Milford Police said.  The offending vehicle was located in the area of Wilbar Avenue and Gulf Street, police said. A swerving driver in a 2013 Honda Civic on Route 7 in Wilton near the Zion Hill Church was stopped by officers at approximately 1:30 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 15, after he was spotted crossing the double yellow lines, prompting the traffic stop. Greenwich Police stopped a vehicle on East Putnam Avenue that was driving erratically and had sustained significant damage to the front end on Sunday, Feb. 10 around 2 a.m. Officers say the vehicle did not stop for about 100 yards. Weston Motorist Who Crosses Double Yellow Line Driving Under The Influence, Greenwich PD Says Police nabbed a 30-year-old area man for DI after he was stopped for failing to maintain a single lane while driving. Benjamin Knudsen of Weston was arrested on Saturday, Dec. 22 after being stopped on Hamilton Avenue in Greenwich for driving over the double yellow line and failing to stay in his lane, said Lt. Martin O'Reilly. When officers spoke with Knudsen they could see he had bloodshot, glassy eyes and an odor of alcohol coming from his breath, police said.
