Two Percent Budget Increase, 18 Employee Layoffs Proposed For Westport The Westport School District may be increasing its budget and cutting jobs if the superintendent’s proposed spending plan is approved. Westport Schools Superintendent Colleen Palmer has proposed a $119,283,880 budget for 2019-20, which represents an increase of 2.68 percent ($3,110,080) from the current budget. The proposal would potentially see as many as 18 jobs in the district eliminated to cut costs.
