Tomas Mata Perez, age 40, of Norwalk, was stopped in Wilton on Wolfpit Road on Tuesday, Sept. 26, around 10:40 p.m. driving a 2023 Honda CRV. According to Lt. Anna Tornello, of the Wilton Police, Perez was stopped after he was seen unable to maintain a lane of travel. Bridgeport resident Daniel Plummer, 30, was found unresponsive behind the wheel of his vehicle on Feb. 9 in Greenwich, police said. Jose Merino-Mejia, 40, of Norwalk, was arrested by New Canaan police after they received a report of a disabled vehicle on New Norwalk Road and Lakeview Road, police said. When officers approached the vehicle, they could smell alcohol and observed an open can of beer in the vehicle, police said. Merino-Mejia refused to take a breath alcohol test.
