The incident took place in New Haven around 1 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 21 on Whalley Avenue. New Haven Police officers were inside Sam’s Mart at 285 Whalley Ave., when a citizen ran into the store and told the officers that someone had been shot while sitting inside a white sedan across the street, said New Haven Police Capt. Double Shooting In CT Leaves One Dead, Police Say A double shooting in Connecticut left one man dead and another seriously injured. The incident took place in New London County Sunday, Jan. 23, when the City of Norwich officers responded to a home on School Street for reports of a disturbance. When officers arrived, they determined there was an altercation at the home and two people were shot, said Lt. Thomas Lazzaro, of the City of Norwich Police. More Shots Fired In Commuter Parking Lot Where Double-Killing Happened Last Week More shots were fired at the scene of last week's double-shooting, a Manchester commuter parking lot, on Sunday, Aug. 9. The lot at the intersection of Buckland Street and Pleasant Valley Road was the cite of a shootout at 2:45 a.m., police said. Two suspects have been arrested. It’s the same parking lot where, a week earlier, two people were fatally shot. When officers arrived on the scene to respond to a report of shots being fired, they initially could not locate any suspects or weapons.
