On Friday, Oct. 11, State Police from Somers arrested Joseph Salerno, 51, of Lewisboro, for DWI. He was traveling on Old Pond Road in the town of Lewisboro, when he was interviewed during a welfare check. Investigation revealed he was under the influence of alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.

Facebook is hoping its users “like” the biggest redesign in the company’s 15-year history, which will be coming after a series of scandals have plagued the company.

Severe Thunderstorm Watch In Effect For Fairfield County

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is now in effect for much of the Hudson Valley and all of Fairfield County as a band of storms moves from west to east.
The watch now covers Westchester, Fairfield, Rockland and Orange counties.
At 2:18 p.m. a severe thunderstorm was located near Tappan, moving northeast at 10 mph with 60 mph wind gusts, says the National Weather Service.
At 2:29 p.m., a severe thunderstorm, also with 60 mph winds, was located over Bedford, or near Mount Kisco, and is nearly stationary, the weather service reports.

Cai Palmer, a Norwalk man who owns the Wine at Five in Rye, N.Y., has taken his vinology skills to another level with the opening of The Red Pony.
The new Purchase Street wine bar, open since late December, has been a longtime dream. "I've always wanted to have a European-style wine bar where you can sit with friends, have a nice glass of wine without a TV screaming a sports game at you, and not have the commitment of a full dinner," he said.
