The Hartford Yard Goats will play a game in the 2025 season as the "Hartford Thunder Chickens," the team announced on Thursday, Jan. 30. Fairfield County Woman ID'd As Woman Pulled From Housatonic River A Connecticut woman who fell off a paddleboard in the Housatonic River and never resurfaced has been identified. The incident occurred in New Haven County around 6:15 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 1, in Seymour, according to Will Healey of the state Department of Energy & Environmental Protection. Healey said DEEP received reports of a paddleboarder in the Housatonic River, located by boaters in the region. CT Community On High Alert After Series Of Fox Attacks Police and state environmental police are searching for an aggressive fox that attacked a man and a dog in Connecticut. The incidents occurred in Windham County on Monday, March 25 at several locations in the town of Putnam. According to the Putnam Police, around 3:50 p.m., officers responded to the area of 342 Church St. for the report of an aggressive fox, that attacked a man.  Police said the fox attacked and attempted to bite at the man.
