Covid-19: Ctdot Takes Precautions For Public Transportation System Connecticut transportation officials are taking extra precautions for the state's public transportation system as a result of the COVID-19 outbreak. Troopers Asking For Witnesses To Fiery Fatal Crash Off I-84 Police are asking the public for help identifying a vehicle, and the person who was killed during a fiery crash near I-84. The crash took place around 3 a.m., Thursday, April 4, on the Route 72 ramp to I-84 east in Plainville after the driver drove through the guardrail, struck a bridge abutment and the vehicle caught fire, Connecticut State police said. The repair work, which includes the replacement of timber ties and miter rail as well as steel repairs on Track 3, is expected to affect marine traffic in Cos Cob Harbor. Due to the ongoing repairs, CTDOT has requested a temporary deviation to the operation of the structure.
