Suspect In Stamford Near-Fatal Bus Stabbing Nabbed A suspect has been charged in the alleged near-fatal stabbing of a man at a Fairfield County bus stop. Olajuwon Raheem Clarke, age 29, homeless, was taken into custody in Brooklyn for the Monday, Nov. 20 stabbing of a Stamford man on a CT Transit bus, said Capt. Tom Scanlon of the Stamford Police. Witnesses reported that the CT Transit bus stopped at the bus stop and a man got on the bus and engaged the victim in an argument. The argument turned physical, and the suspect pulled out an unknown object from his coat pocket and stabbed the victim in the chest, Scanlon said. The …

Man Charged After Attempting To Enter Elementary School In Fairfield County, Police Say A man from out of state has been charged after police said he attempted to enter an elementary school in Fairfield County. Just after 1 p.m. on Friday, May 27, school administrators in Stamford from Davenport Elementary School on Newfield Avenue noticed a suspicious man on the school campus, and immediately initiated a lockdown, according to Captain Diedrich Hohn, Commander of Special Investigations for the Stamford PD. Woman Struck, Killed By CT Transit Bus A Connecticut woman was hit and killed by a bus. The crash took place around 6:45 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 21, in New Haven. New Haven Police responded to a motor vehicle crash involving a pedestrian being struck by a CT Transit bus, on Chapel Street, between Orange Street and Church Street. According to Officer Scott Shumway, responding officers located the victim, a 40-year-old New Haven woman, who was later pronounced dead on the scene.
