10 Displaced Following Bridgeport Fire Ten people were left homeless following a fire at the Crescent Crossing apartment complex in Bridgeport on Sunday morning. The fire started around 10:49 a.m. at the complex at 160 Church St., said Michael A. Caldaroni, assistant fire chief with the Bridgeport Fire Department. When crews arrived they located a kitchen fire in apartment #413 that had been extinguished by the automatic sprinkler system. Fire damage to the kitchen was minimal, however, the sprinkler activation caused significant water damage to the apartment and to the three apartments immediately below, Caldaroni said.  A sal…
