Update: A 74-year-old woman from Western Massachusetts who was reported missing has been found safe. The Wilbraham Police Department said Sandra Stephens has been found. Barricaded Subject Surrenders To Police After Hours-Long Standoff In CT Neighborhood
A 38-year-old man was arrested following a standoff with police that lasted nine hours in a Connecticut neighborhood. Troopers in Tolland County responded to a home on South Street in the town of Coventry to serve arrest warrants on Jared Anderson at about 7:15 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 24, according to Connecticut State Police. Anderson, who is from Coventry, was wanted on charges of first- and second-degree failure to appear, police said. CT Police Sergeant Under Investigation For Sending Inappropriate Texts To Teen
A high-ranking police official in Connecticut is in hot water after being accused of allegedly sending inappropriate text messages to an underage girl. According to police, a complaint has been filed against Coventry Police Sgt. Michael Hicks, who has been accused of sending the inappropriate messages in 2012 and 2013, the department confirmed.
