Popular Artist, Business Owner From Milford Dies Suddenly At Age 63 A much beloved Connecticut artist known throughout her community died suddenly at the age of 63. New Haven County resident Sharon Rutledge, of Milford, died on Friday, June 2, after collapsing at her home on Wednesday, May 31. At the time of her death, Sharon was encircled by her family and friends, said her daughter Sara Agee Kaminski. Police Officer Attacked, Beaten At Fairfield County Festival A Fairfield County police officer suffered a broken arm and head injury after being attacked by two men at an annual community festival. The incident occurred in Norwalk around 10 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 10 at the Oyster Festival. According to Lt. Terrence Blake, of the Norwalk Police, officers working the event were notified of a fight between juveniles near the Kids Cove.  Officers responded to the area and broke up two separate fights. Middle School Principal Placed On Leave In Westport A middle school principal in Fairfield County is being put on leave following reports of her arrest last week for allegedly being involved in a verbal and physical incident in Southbury. Coleytown Middle School Principal Kris Szabo, who was charged with second-degree breach of peace following an incident over a parking spot, has been placed on administrative leave, school officials said in a letter to parents. Szabo was arrested on Wednesday, Nov. 27 when she struck a 71-year-old man during an argument. She was placed on leave as of Wednesday, Dec. 4. It is unclear how long Szabo’s leave …
