New Update: IDs Released For Man, Woman Found Dead In Easton
Two people found dead inside a vehicle in a Fairfield County pond have been identified by police. The two were found in the pond in Easton on Stepney Road near Church Road inside a 1995 Jeep Cherokee which was partially submerged in water and tipping to the driver's side. During an investigation, Easton Police and Fire personnel found two occupants in the vehicle who were pronounced dead on the scene, said Easton Police Chief Richard Doyle. Traffic Alert Issued As Route 59 Work Starts
Motorists planning on traveling on Route 59 in Easton can expect slight delays in the area as crews begin efforts to replace the guardrail system and cut trees for several days. The Connecticut Department of Transportation will begin replacing the guardrail daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday, April 16, during which time, there are expected to be delays along different parts of Route 59.
