11-Year-Old Hurt After Fairfield County Woman Drives Through Fence, Hits Swing Set, Police Say An 11-year-old boy was injured when he was hit by a car while swinging at a Fairfield County Boys and Girls Club. The incident took place in Stamford on Sunday, May 1 at the  Boys and Girls Club at 348 Stillwater Ave. The child was on the swings at the time of the crash and was transported to an area hospital with minor, non-life-threatening injuries, said Sgt. Former Yale Med School Employee Admits Stealing, Selling $40 Million In Electronics A former Yale University School of Medicine employee has admitted to stealing $40 million in computer and electronic hardware from the university. Jamie Petrone, age 42, pleaded guilty on Monday, March 28, to wire fraud and filing a false tax return, according to Leonard Boyle, United States Attorney for the District of Connecticut. Motorcyclist Critically Injured Following Crash With Van In Stamford A 22-year-old Stamford man suffered life-threatening injuries during a crash with a van Monday afternoon. The crash occurred around 5 p.m. on East Main Street at Quintard Terrace in Stamford, said Sgt. Andrew Gallagher. During the crash, the 2001 Chevrolet Venture van was traveling eastbound on East Main Street turning left onto Quintard Terrace, when it collided with the 2007 Suzuki GSXR 75 motorcycle traveling westbound, Gallagher said.  "Initial indications are that the motorcycle was traveling at an excessive speed," Gallagher said.
