Jorge Miranda, 39, of Astoria, was arrested on Monday, Aug. 5, at Green Haven Correctional in New York, for his part in the 2017 heist at an area jewelry store, said the Wilton Police. Woman Accused Of Stealing $17,000 From Wilton Jewelry Store A Queens woman was arrested by police in Fairfield County in connection with the theft of $17,000 in jewels from an area jeweler in 2017. Paula Hurtado, 38, of Astoria, was picked up at Bedford Correctional Center by Wilton police on an active warrant and extradited her to Connecticut to face felony larceny charges, the Wilton Police Department said. Second Woman Arrested In Wilton Jewelry Store Heist Another woman has been nabbed in association with a brazen jewelry store robbery in Wilton last year, according to the Wilton Police Department. During the October heist, three women and a man entered the Campus Jewelers at 5 River Road and distracted the two salespersons while the man stole jewelry from behind the counter and put it in a brown paper shopping bag that he was carrying, said Wilton Police Lt.
