Police ID Man Killed After Ford F-150 Hits Curb, Overturns In Fairfield County Police have identified the victim of a fatal single-vehicle crash in Fairfield County in which the driver allegedly lost control of his pickup truck and smashed into a median divider and was thrown from the vehicle and pinned underneath. Oscar Reyes, age 39, of Stamford, was killed around 12:32 a.m., Monday, July 19, on Washington Boulevard in Stamford, said Sgt. Jefferey Booth. According to Booth, a 2005 Ford F-150 was traveling northbound on Washington Boulevard, just north of the intersection with Bridge Street. Covid-19: These CT Testing Sites Don't Require An Appointment For those needing a COVID-19 test, Community Health Center is offering sites statewide that do not require an appointment.  In addition to not needing an appointment state officials said you do not have to be exhibiting symptoms to receive the tests. Firefighters Rescue Nine Ducklings In Stamford Stamford firefighters reunited nine ducklings with their mother after rescuing them from a catch basin on Summer Street Thursday, July 25. Engine Company 5 firefighters assisted by Stamford Animal Control officers removed the young ducks without incident under the watchful eye of their mother who stood nearby. Once reunited, the rescuers provided a safety escort for all ducks from Summer Street to Bridge Street, across Washington Boulevard and back into the Mill River.
