Man Killed, Woman Injured, During Shooting In Fairfield County, Police Say Police in Fairfield County are investigating a homicide of a man and the shooting of a woman. The shootings were uncovered around 1 a.m., Friday, Dec. 17, when the Stratford Police Department responded to Light Street near Barnum Avenue. The unidentified man and woman were shot by an unknown assailant, According to Capt Frank Eannotti of the Stratford Police Department. The man was pronounced dead at the scene. The woman was transported to a local hospital and is being treated for wounds received during the assault, Eannotti said. Identities are not being released until the next…

Christopher Mulkern, age 21, was arrested on Thursday, Dec. 3, after Strafford Police officers spotted a stolen 2018 Porsche Panamera traveling on Bruce Ave., said Capt. Paul DosSantos. When the driver, Mulkern, of Stratford, discovered police cars behind him, he accelerated into the car in front of him forcing it to the side of the road, and then entered the intersection crashing into a vehicle traveling on Boston Avenue, DosSantos said. Undercover Tobacco Check Nets Five Violations In Stratford Five Stratford businesses were fined after allegedly selling tobacco products to an underage decoy during an enforcement check. The enforcement on Wednesday, May 1, was conducted by the Stratford Police, along with members from the state Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services and the Tobacco Prevention and Enforcement Program, said Stratford Police Capt.
