Driver Hits Horse On Roadway In Area A horse was killed after being hit by a vehicle in Northern Westchester. The crash took place late Monday, Feb. 17 on Route 121 in Bedford when the horse had gotten loose and was in the roadway, said the Bedford Fire Department. The crash took place around 1 a.m., Sunday, Feb. 16, on 1-684 in Bedford, said the Armonk Fire Department. Details Released On Crash That Caused I-684 Closure, Serious Injuries To Three Children Details have been released following the serious New Year's Day crash that caused the hours-long closure of a stretch of I-684 and in which three children were seriously injured, two of whom were ejected from the vehicle involved. The crash happened northbound on Wednesday, Jan. 1 at around 11:10 a.m. in Bedford.
