CT Man Caught With Counterfeit Money, Illegal Weapon In Traffic Stop New York State Police troopers seized more than $5,000 in counterfeit cash, drugs and an illegal weapon during a traffic stop on I-84 in Putnam County. Shortly before 2:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 12, troopers conducted a traffic stop of Bronx resident Anthony Smith’s 2018 Kia Optima when he committed a vehicle and traffic law violation on the interstate. During the stop, it was determined that the 26-year-old was driving his vehicle with more than three suspensions on his license and he was allegedly in possession of Oxycodone pills.
