Deer Crashes On Rise In CT: Here Are Towns With Most Past Collisions Officials in Connecticut are warning motorists to look out for deer as the peak season for collisions involving the animals approaches.  According to AAA Northeast, deer crashes in the Nutmeg State are increasing "by leaps and bounds," and the peak time of year for collisions has been starting earlier and earlier every year, officials announced on Tuesday, Oct. 10. CT Sees Greatest Gas Price Drop In Nation With the "gas tax holiday" now in effect, Connecticut has seen the greatest drop in prices in the nation over the past week. Connecticut’s $4.03 per gallon average is 28 cents lower than last week, but still six cents higher than last month and $1.14 higher than last year, according to AAA.
