Stroke Survivor From Wilton Finishes New York City Marathon

WILTON, Conn. – Wilton resident Merideth Gilmor, 38, founder of Modern Global Communications, finished the New York City Marathon on Sunday, a year after suffering a stroke, the Wilton Bulletin reported.

She completed the 26.2-mile course in in 6 hours, 4 minutes, and 47 seconds, the Bulletin said. 

She always had been healthy and active, and had no family history or other risk factors for stroke, the story said.
