WILTON, Conn. — A commuter was shocked to hop off the train and find the doors missing from his car in the parking lot at the Wilton train station, police said.

The theft was discovered at about 7:50 p.m. March 29, Wilton police said.

When the man got off the train and went to his car, both passenger side doors were missing from his green 2014 Honda Accord, police said.

Spare change and a jacket were also stolen from the car, police said.

The screws that had held the doors were found on the floor of the car, police said. The lock on the driver’s side door was broken, police said.

In a similar crime, the rear hatchback was stolen off a car parked in the Pequot Avenue lot near the Pequot Library in Fairfield on March 24, police said.
