Education Foundation Urges Wilton Citizens to Vote

WILTON, Conn. – The annual Town Meeting is Tuesday at Wilton High School's Clune Center, and the Wilton Education Foundation is encouraging everyone to vote.

At the Town Meeting residents of Wilton are asked to vote on the 2013 town budget. The Wilton Education Foundation created a video to help ask residents to vote.

The budget includes a 0.995 percent increase in the town mill rate and a 1.75 percent speding increase to both the town and school budgets. Currently the town budget is at $30.4 million and the school budget is at $74.48 million.

Residents will also be able to vote on capital projects being proposed by the town and school. The projects include roofs at Middlebrook Middle School and Comstock Community Center, improvements to Miller-Driscoll Elementary School, and a five year road improvement project.
