Dr. Peter D'Adamo's 5 Favorite Things About Wilton

WILTON, Conn. – Even though he technically lives in New Canaan, Dr. Peter D’Adamo, author of the popular “Eat Right for Your Type” books, said he spends more time in Wilton.

D’Adamo lives on the New Canaan–Wilton border and has his office on Danbury Road, so when asked what he loved about Wilton, he was prepared with answers.

“I love that Route 7 is done and I love that they did such a good job,” D’Adamo said.

He also likes the way Wilton Town Hall responds to people, he said. “When there’s a problem you get treated like a human being.”

The “cool old cemeteries” that are scattered around the town are another reason he loves the town.

At the Wilton Library, he said, he loves the Brubeck room, in which he has lectured. “They’ve been very nice over the years, they’re always fabulous.”

“I like the martial arts studio in our building, Wilton Martial Arts,” D’Adamo said. “What he’s doing with these kids is just wonderful. Karate now a days can be a factory approach but he builds character.”

In all, he said he just really likes Wilton, “If you gave me enough time I could tell you a lot of things I like about Wilton.”
