WILTON, Conn. -- Wilton Library's New Perspectives Film Series is set to present "Paul Williams Still Alive" on Saturday, Jan. 18.
The film will begin at 7:30 p.m. at the library's Brubeck Room at 137 Old Ridgefield Road in Wilton.
"Paul Williams was a megastar singer/actor/songwriter in the '70s with Academy, Grammy and Golden Globe Awards lavished on him," representatives said. "He wrote many no. 1 song hits; starred in a Brian DePalma movie; put out his own hit records and albums; was a guest on "The Tonight Show" fifty times; yet who is he now and what has he been doing? This documentary by filmmaker Stephen Kessler is a wistful musical journey that will re-introduce a new generation to Williams' soulful classics."
The film is rated PG-13 and the run time is 84 minutes. The suggested donation is $5. Refreshments will be served. The New Perspectives Film Series is programmed and moderated by filmmaker Megan Smith-Harris.
Advance registration is highly recommended by calling 203-762-3950, ext. 213.
