Shelton Farmers Market Sells Fresh Goodies All Through The Winter
SHELTON, Conn. – It was cold on Saturday, but the sun was out and so were the vendors from local farms as the Shelton Farmers Market opened the doors for its indoor event.
There were lots of goodies to choose from, ranging from fresh vegetables, pies, jarred tomato sauces, wine, and much more. If you arrive early, breakfast food is made fresh to order, and sometimes there is even live music.

Wilton Historical Society Offers Chocolate-Making Workshop For Kids
WILTON, Conn. -- A popular chocolate-making workshop for kids is returning to the Wilton Historical Society on Saturday, Feb. 11 in time for Valentine's Day.
In the program from 11 a.m. to noon participants will pour chocolate in charming molds of hearts, flowers, animals, stars, tools, among shapes, then decorate boxes for the treats.
Registration is required by email to info@wiltonhistorical.org or call (203) 762-7257. The costs are: Members, $10 or $25 per family; non-members, $15; $35 per family. Parents are welcome to stay.

Author Tackles Human Trafficking In New Canaan Talk
NEW CANAAN, CONN. -- Grace Farms in New Canaan will host author Corban Addison as he discusses his new fiction book that focuses on forced labor and human trafficking.
The discussion begins at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 28. The book, "A Harvest of Thorns,'' is a dramatic fictional account, based on real cases, of forced labor, criminal abuse, and human trafficking in the supply chain of global companies.

RIDGEFIELD, Conn. -- The Town of Ridgefield will honor two community influencers, including one posthumously, at the 21st Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day Celebration on Monday, Jan. 16.
The celebration will honor Daniela Sikora, music director of The Ridgefield Chorale, and a posthumous award will be presented to the family of Tom Belote.
