Westchester Business Council Elects Wilton's Tara Rush To Board

WILTON, Conn. -- Tara Rush, senior vice president and chief corporate relations officer for Heineken USA, has been elected to the board of directors for The Business Council of Westchester.

Rush is a graduate of Cornell University and lives in Wilton with her husband and two children.

Heineken USA is headquartered in White Plains, N.Y.

"The move represents a continuation of the relationship between the council and Heiniken, particularly with respect to the council’s alumni program,” said Marsha Gordon, president and CEO of the council.

Rush joined Heineken USA in 2013 as senior director of corporate communications.

In this role, she led corporate and brand public relations, employee and distributor engagement, crisis communications, reputation management, corporate events, philanthropy and consumer affairs.

Rush joined Heineken from Emanate, a midsize public relations agency.

She opened Emanate’s Los Angeles office in 2007 and, after building her team, led consumer marketing and social relevance campaigns for a number of leading consumer package goods and travel clients.

Prior to Emanate, she led public relations at Mars Inc. and held roles in the consumer marketing practices at Ketchum, Edelman and Weber Shandwick in New York.
