WILTON, Conn. — Residents in need of an escape won't have to travel far thanks to the arrival of URA The Spa, a new health and wellness destination in Wilton that offers a range of traditional and customized services.

Housed within a historic home at 444 Danbury Road, URA’s menu of services is focused on whole-body healing. Treatments include facials, massages, reflexology, Reiki, microdermabrasions, Ayurvedic and body treatments, facial peels, waxing and spray tanning, and more.

“We want URA to be an escape where people leave refreshed and energized,” said owner Heather Bova, an Easton resident.

That’s why Bova named the spa “URA,” which is an ancient Celtic symbol of the Ogham alphabet that translates into renewal, healing, generosity, refinement, passion and love. These are “all good things” Bova said she wants the spa to be. Plus, “URA” symbolizes the Heather plant.

A native of Los Angeles, Bova is no stranger to the wellness industry. She began her career in the dermatology, pharmaceutical and medical devices field, where she specialized in skin care.

Helping Bova run URA is manager Kelly Daily, her longtime colleague and friend. Before opening URA, Bova and Daily — a certified aesthetician — worked together at a local spa for at least seven years, where Bova said they forged close relationships with their clientele.

Their business following, coupled with their passion for the industry and desire to run their own spa, was the recipe that led to the creation of URA.

“It was a natural fit,” Bova said.

Going beyond a traditional spa, URA offers a number of medical aesthetics treatments, such as Botox, Juvederm and Restylane, performed by local dermatologist Alicia Zalka. The goal at URA, Bova said, is to meet a wide range of customer needs.

Further setting URA apart from other spas, Bova said, is the customer experience. Patrons receive personalized and customized care based on their needs, she said.

“We’re not a cookie-cutter spa where everyone receives the same treatment,” Bova said. “Each customer gets what they need in terms of health and healing.”

To achieve this, Daily said communication is key. Not only are customers paired with URA therapists best suited to treat their needs, each customer also consults with their therapist before treatments.

URA is open daily. To schedule an appointment, call  203-762-6200. Appointments can also be booked online.
