Man Hit By Vehicle After Crossing Street Without Looking For Traffic In Fairfield, Police Say A man hit by a vehicle suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries after crossing a street without allegedly checking for traffic first in the Town of Fairfield, police said. The incident took place around 12:39 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 13, on Reef Road in Fairfield. According to Granata, a Fairfield Police Officer was advised by a passerby that a person had just been struck by a vehicle on Reef Road just north of Veteran’s Park. Firefighters Perform 'High-Risk' Rescue Of Trapped, Injured Worker In Fairfield Fairfield firefighters performed a "high-risk" rescue of two tree workers trapped high above the ground. The incident took place around 2:12 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 7, when the Fairfield Fire Department received a report that two tree workers were trapped in a tree behind 85 Beacon View Drive, the department said on Facebook.
