Victim Shot Multiple Times In Bridgeport A person was shot multiple times in Fairfield County during an assault. The incident took place in Bridgeport a little after 9 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 17 in the area of Washington and Highland Avenues. According to Terron Jones, a spokesman for the Bridgeport Police, officers responded to a report of an aggravated assault with a firearm and located the victim. ID Released For 22-Year-Old Shot, Killed In Bridgeport On July 4th Police have identified a man who was shot to death July 4th in Bridgeport as a local resident. Richard McDonald, 22, was shot in the Greene Homes housing project, said Terron Jones, spokesman for the Bridgeport Police. McDonald, who had recently been released from prison on drug charges, was the city's 10th homicide of the year. Police did not release additional information on the case, including whether it was drug-related. McDonald was sentenced to four years in prison after being busted for selling drugs in April 2016, court records show.
