Police: Officers Injured After Fairfield County Man Tries To Ram Their Cars During Drug Bust
Two police officers from the region were injured during the takedown of an area drug dealer.
Alfonso “Heat” Lewis, age 37, of Stamford, was arrested on Thursday, Oct. 28, as part of a weeks-long investigation into drug sales in the city's West Side neighborhood, said Captain Richard Conklin, of the Stamford Police.
Conklin, who said Lewis was well known to police for past arrests for drugs and assaults, said as part of the investigation, the department had received a warrant for Lewis' arrest and warrants for his home and vehicle.

Motorist Who Speeds, Then Slows Down With Wilton PD Car Behind Under Influence, Police Say
An officer was tipped off to a drunk driver by the man's dramatic changes in speed, police said.
The driver, who was initially driving the speed limit, sped forward unexpectedly while driving south on Route 7 (Danbury Road) in Wilton when followed by a cruiser around 1 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 22, police said.
When the cruiser raced up behind him, the driver slowed to 19 miles per hour in a 40 mile-per-hour zone, then turned on his hazard lights and pulled into the breakdown lane.

Dispute Over CT Stop & Shop Parking Spot Turns Violent, Police Say
Two men have been charged after a dispute over a parking space at a supermarket in Connecticut turned violent.
It happened on Saturday, Sept. 14 at about 9:15 a.m. at a Stop & Shop in Ansonia on Division Street.
Ansonia Police Department officers, who responded to a report of a dispute involving weapons, located and identified Kamrin Crawford, 43, of Ansonia and Woodrow Ogman, 33, also of Ansonia as the people involved in the dispute over the parking spot.
