'Kia Challenge' Leads To Hospitalizations, Stolen Cars, Damages In Greenwich One person was arrested and two people were hospitalized in a single night amid a slew of car thefts and damages, officials say.  In Fairfield County, police stayed busy on the night of Wednesday, June 28, responding to five separate incidents associated with the "Kia Challenge," according to the Greenwich Police Department.  Police responded to Oak Ridge Street around 11:30 on Wednesday for a report of two people entering parked cars. Woman Faces DUI Charge After Crash In Greenwich, Police Say A 59-year-old Fairfield County woman was allegedly driving under the influence when she was involved in a late-night crash, police said. Greenwich Police officers responded to the intersection of Byram Road and North Water Street in Greenwich shortly after 10:20 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 5, police said. Upon arrival, officers found a two-car crash involving a Toyota Corolla driven by Greenwich resident Michelle Maher, who allegedly failed to stop at a stop sign before crashing. Pedestrian Assaults Driver In Greenwich Road-Rage Incident, Police Say A pedestrian who thought a vehicle drove too close to him ended up in cuffs after assaulting the driver of the vehicle, police said. Seth Bladimirsquy, 51, of Greenwich, was arrested around 9:29 p.m., Friday, March 22, after allegedly assaulting the driver outside of the Greek Kitchen on North Water Street, said Greenwich Police Lt. John Slusarz. According to Slusarz, Bladimirsquy approached the driver after parking near the restaurant. Suspect Arrested In Connection With 2016 Greenwich Burglary Police have made an arrest in connection with a 2016 burglary in the Byram section of Greenwich. Darren Simpson, 53, of Poughkeepsie, was extradited from the Westchester County Jail on Tuesday, Feb. 26, in connection with the Oct. 18, 2016 robbery on North Water Street, Greenwich police said. He was charged with burglary and criminal mischief.   Simpson is being held on $150,000 bond.
