Firefighters in Fairfield County rescued a 1,200-pound horse who was stuck under a fence. Stamford firefighters responded to June Road around 6:15 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 26 to a stable in the rear of the property where a 20-year-old horse named Tex was down and partially stuck under a fence, said Captain Philip Hayes, of the Stamford Fire Department. Multiple fire crews worked to extinguish a large fire that significantly damaged an unoccupied Fairfield County home. Authorities received a report of heavy smoke and a possible large open burn at a home in Stamford at about 7 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 2, according to the Stamford Fire Department. Firefighter Hospitalized After Blaze Breaks Out At Home In Fairfield County
A firefighter was hospitalized after battling a blaze at a home in Fairfield County. The Stamford Fire Department reported that 26 personnel initially responded to the fire that broke out at the residence located at 45 Reynolds Avenue on Saturday, Aug. 28. The first-arriving companies from the Woodside Fire Station arrived at the scene at about 10 p.m. The fire was in the deck area and spread to the rear of the home into the attic. A Fairfield County home received extensive damage following a two-alarm fire. Shortly after midnight, on Friday, Dec. 4, Stamford firefighters were alerted to a report of a house fire on Smoke Hill Drive in North Stamford. Home Partially Collapses After Explosion In Stamford
A home partially collapsed after an explosion in Stamford. At 07:20 a.m. Saturday, June 20, the Stamford 9-1-1 Dispatch Center received a call reporting that the house next door to the callers on Woodbine Road had exploded and was on fire.
