Three Injured In One-Car Crash In Stratford STRATFORD, Conn. — Three people were sent to the hospital Friday when the car they were in struck a parked car, police said. The car was traveling west on Stratford Avenue and hit the parked car near Eleanor Street around 1:15 p.m. The three occupants of the moving vehicle suffered injuries and were transported to a local hospital for treatment. Police had no updates on their status and no other details on the crash. The roadway was expected to be closed until the accident reconstruction team completed its investigation.

The witness told police a woman, later identified as Candice Peterkin, 20, of Gem Avenue, backed into a parked car at Fairfield University just before 11 a.m. on Dec. 23, police said. She got out of the car, checked her car and told the witness she wasn’t hurt before leaving the scene without making an attempt to locate the car’s owner, police said.
