Ridgefield Students To Receive Chromebooks In New Learning Initiative RIDGEFIELD, Conn. -- Ridgefield Public Schools will be giving students Chromebooks as part of the new "1:1" Digital Learning Initiative.  Beginning in September, all students at East Ridge Middle School and Scotts Ridge Middle School will receive a Chromebook. Students will use the device in and outside of school as a means to optimize learning through research, communication, collaboration, creation, and education, the district announced. Darien To Test Water Quality Of Goodwives River DARIEN Conn. -- The Darien Advisory Commission on Coastal Waters will study the water quality in Goodwives River. “We want to ensure that our waterways are clean for the benefit of all our citizens,” said Flip Huffard, Chair of the Advisory Commission on Coastal Waters.  Beginning in August, the study is being conducted for Darien by Harbor Watch, a program of Earthplace in Westport and is expected to be completed in the coming year.
