Weston's Chase Nears 1,000 as GFA Tops Harvey

Greens Farms Academy defeated Harvey, 75-61, in a Fairchester Athletic Association game Monday in Westport. Weston's Dan Chase paced GFA with 25 points, leaving him only 24 away from the 1,000 career point milestone. Sophomore Sean Obi dominated the paint when on the floor, scoring 20 points on 14 shots and pulling down 17 rebounds. GFA's other starting sophomore, Hunter Eggers, also shot well, going 6 for 11.

Harvey went heavy with a full court trapping press, but point guard C.J. Smith handled it nicely, committing just one turnover. Brien Comey and Will Pavlis pulled down 15  rebounds. Eric Walsh ran the offense, called the defenses and scored.

GFA defensive pressure came from all fronts. Dan Hoffman, Chris Morency, Cam Mickens, Christian Papic and Wills Rooney swarmed the ball aggressively, forcing the Harvey ball handlers to cough it up 16 times. GFA hosts Hamden Hall on Wednesday.
