The ordeal began in East Norwalk at approximately 1:15 a.m., after the man got off a northbound train at the East Norwalk station, the police report said. The man then walked to the Mobil station across the street from the station to find a ride, the report said.
The man got into a car with two male suspects who offered to give him a ride for $10, the report said. Two females were also said to be inside the car.
After driving around on streets he was unfamiliar with, the car pulled over and the man was forced to get out by the driver and the other male suspect, the report said. Then, the driver pulled out a knife, demanded more money from the man and took his wallet, according to the report.
Once back inside the car, the driver repeatedly asked for the PIN number to the man’s debit cards, which he initially refused to provide, the report said. As a result, the man was reportedly hit in the face by one of the suspects.
Later, the other occupants of the car got out and left the man alone with the driver, who threatened to kill the man if he provided the wrong PIN numbers, the report said.
The man told police he was eventually let go in the Wright Street/King’s Highway North area.
The suspects' vehicle was described as a dark colored sedan with cloth interior.
The driver of the car was described as a white male of thin build in his mid-20s, approximately 5-feet-10-inches tall with a long face, a short trimmed beard and mustache. He had short, light hair with longer bangs styled upward. He was wearing round metal-framed prescription glasses and a white t-shirt with blue jeans.
The other male suspect was also described as being white, of thin build and in his mid-20s. This suspect was approximately 5-feet-7-inches tall, clean shaven, and wearing a white t-shirt, red gym shorts with a strip running down the outside of the leg and black sneakers.
Both female suspects were said to be white and in their mid-20s. One of the women was described as having dark blonde hair styled in a pony tail. The other was described as being thin and having flat straight dark blonde hair.
