Suzanne Waiwat, 84, Longtime Easton Resident

EASTON, Conn. – Suzanne Marguerite Waiwat of Easton died Aug. 17 at Ludlowe Center for Health and Rehabilitation, after a long illness. She was 84. 

Waiwat was born April 23, 1928, in Florida. She was a resident of Easton since marrying Edward Dunn Waiwat in 1965.

Waiwat was a former singer and actress and enjoyed drawing, painting and playing the piano. She also had been an avid roller skater, water skier, horseback rider and airplane pilot. 

Her husband predeceased her.

She is survived by a daughter, Marina Lynn Waiwat, of Easton; a sister, Juliette Senese, of Fairfield; a brother, Henri Mahieu, of Florida; and two sisters-in-law, Mary Mahieu and Betty Mahieu, both of Milford. 

Visitation is from 10 to 11:30 a.m., Thursday, at Spadaccino and Leo P. Gallagher Funeral Home in Monroe, Conn. A graveside service will follow at noon at Oak Lawn Cemetery in Fairfield.
