Geanuracos was born Aug. 27, 1948, in Bridgeport, to James and Mary Geanuracos. He was a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh where he obtained his bachelors degree in physics; he then went on to earn his Masters in Electrical Engineering at The University of Bridgeport. He was a senior engineer with Devar Inc. of Bridgeport for over 40 years.
Geanuracos is survived by his father, James Geanuracos of Easton; sister, Annie Geanuracos (John) Frascone of Danbury; brother, Stan Geanuracos (Mirella) of Easton; and a niece and nephew. He was predeceased by his mother, Mary Geanuracos.
Calling hours are from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 14 at Pistey Funeral Home, 2155 Main St. in Stratford. Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 15 at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 4070 Park Ave., Bridgeport with Rev. Andreas Vithoulkas officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeview Cemetery.
