Frank Edwards, 85, Easton Construction Supervisor

EASTON, Conn. – Frank F. Edwards of Easton died July 9 at his home, surrounded by family. He was 85. 

Born in Bridgeport, he was the son of Frank Hull and May Flynn Edwards. A resident of Easton for 60 years, Edwards served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He worked for SNET as a construction supervisor for 39 years and was a lifetime member and past president of the Stepney Fire Department and the Fayerweather Yacht Club. 

Edwards was predeceased by a brother, Donald. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Bernadette Bishop Edwards, of Easton; four sons, Mark (Ellen), of Brookfield, Stephen (Sue), of Newtown, Frank (Lisa) of Newtown, and Scott (Melanie) of Barrington, R.I.; a sister, Lois Ruis, of Moultrie, Ga.; nine grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. 

Cyril F. Mullins Funeral Home in Trumbull was in charge of the arrangements. A memorial Mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at Jesse Lee Church in Easton. Burial was private.
