WESTON, Conn. – David B. Greenfield, of Weston, died Oct. 17 after emergency cardiac surgery.
Greenfield was born Aug. 2, 1962, in Brooklyn, N.Y., to Rhoda Greenfield Hammer and Martin Greenfield on
He graduated from Norwich Free Academy and the University of Connecticut, becoming a member of the UConn Foundation Board of Directors and was inducted into the school's Hall of Fame in 2005.
Greenfield worked at The Hanover Insurance Group, AXIS Capital Holdings and KMPG, LLP.
He was predeceased by his father.
He is survived by his mother, his wife Cheryl Dwyer Greenfield, three children, Jason, Melissa, and Aaron. step-father Leon Hammer of Punta Gorda, Fla., sister Karyn Barrows and her children Zachary and Stacey of Norwich, and brothers in law Peter Dwyer of North Andover, Mass. and Ray Dwyer of Juneau, Alaska.
A memorial service will be conducted at 10:45 a.m. Thursday at The Conservative Synagogue in Westport.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are welcomed to the American Heart Association.
